Logic Games
Doggnation - help the little dogs improve their castles by making them bring the right bricks. It sounds easy but you really have to think about things to get the order right. One of my favourites!
SET - is based on the card game of the same name. The aim is to find the sets within the cards - there is a tutorial to get you started. This game refreshes every day to bring you a new puzzle.
Word Games
Word Vine is a fun word game that asks you to link words together to make a vine. Gets quite tricky!
Science Games
Anatomy Arcade has games and puzzles including Whack-a-Bone and Brain Jigsaw.
It seems aimed at teenagers, but I played with my 10yo with no problems. The games are
well designed and you do have to learn the bone or muscle structure to succeed. This would also go well with the
Online Human Anatomy program I mention on my free homeschooling resources page.
General Games
Questionaut is the most beautiful point and click adventure game. As you click through the story you’ll come across unique obstacles and quizzes that you’ll need to click about to get through.
Its on the BBC website under KS2 so I think its for ages 7-11 (but I think the younger ones may need some help with some of the questions).
Geography Tetris is a fun tetris game. For more details
see this page.
