Do I Need a Homeschool Curriculum?
I am often asked by new homeschoolers if they need to buy a homeschool curriculum.
There are many ways to teach your children at home - and using a pre-packaged program is just one way. So is it possible to homeschool with one? And how?
Yes! It is possible, and often advantageous to teach your children at home without using a pre-packaged program. But it does depend upon your family.
There are several things to take into consideration!

When you are trying to decide what to do, then there are a few things you need to think about:

As you teach your child at home, you will find that your ideas about it change and develop over time as you gain more confidence. As you talk to more homeschoolers and try their ideas, you will begin to see how things will work better for your family.
If you are just starting out and think you would like to try using a program, then I would recommend you try a
free homeschooling curriculum for at least one term. That will teach you a lot about what works and doesn't work for your family - and you will make a much more informed choice when choosing one. Or you can stop using it at any time without worrying about the cost!
